It Was Said Thrice

Addie, Addie, Addie

It is Finetuned Wednesday, homies! This week we have a small artist who is well worth celebrating (and keeping an eye on) by the name of Addie Addie Addie. Her music will be a lovely listen to those of you who love some noice pop. LET’S DO IT!

Who is Addie Addie Addie?

Addie Addie Addie is the musical project of Addie Weyrich, an artist based in Los Angeles, California. She released her debut album, well it all had to go somewhere, in July 2024. The album features tracks like "POLISH THE DISHES", "CRAZY CRAZY", and "BACK ROW", which does a lovely job of showcasing her indie pop style. She maintains an active presence on Instagram under the handle @addieyomind, where she shares updates and engages with her audience for a variety of things! Go give her a follow, nerds.

While she is definitely a smaller artist (bro, who gives a shit), her music is still cohesive and mature! In addition to her music career, Addie Weyrich is also known for her work as a comedian and actress. She has been involved in various comedy projects and performances, contributing to her multifaceted presence in the entertainment industry.

What To Expect Sonically

Okay this is a very acquired taste for an album I’d say. This is like rage pop meets hyper pop but like with some rapping kinda. This is a very sentimental album with lots of reality being thrown into it, on behalf of Addie of course. There is a bunch of synth, which is not surprising given that it’s pop, but this feels so unassuming in the best way.

There is a lot of “spoken word” vibes on this album in addition to the pop elements, which is super welcomed by me! This is a bit of a shorter album at 27 mins, but I definitely think its worth the listen! I will say some of the topics in the release can be triggering for some, so consider this a trigger warning, ya lovelies. (parental relations, SA, etc.)

Turn Her Shit Up

As Addie so gracefully tells us in this record, turn her shit up, bro. This is a really fun album to just vibe out to and dance around like a goofball. With some super silly songs, there is a solid mix of meaningful, very real, compositions. This record, “well it all had to go somewhere” really, genuinely, has me excited for more tunes from her!

Addie is so serious and so goofy. An infectious personality mixed with an infectious album constructed with intention. Have fun with this, I know I did, frfr.
Enjoy the jams, Finetuners.
